About the role:

As the Events Manager, you will be instrumental in the success of our events and team! As part of the Events Team, you will independently plan and execute a portfolio of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, managing all logistics from vendor coordination to guest communications. You will support on larger events and cross-functional projects and will collaborate with internal teams to align events with organizational goals, manage budgets, and ensure a seamless attendee experience.

What you’ll experience as a team member:

  • Salary range is $70,000 - $80,000 CAD, commensurate with your experience.

We are a fully remote team with occasional in-person team meetings or co-working days, depending on your location (Canada only). You will be responsible for:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage a portfolio of events, including conferences, fundraisers and community events.

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, ensuring each aligns with organizational goals, brand standards, and audience needs.

  • Contribute to development of the annual Strategic Events Plan and budget, building the plan based on key strategies and departmental plans.

  • Oversee all event logistics, including venue booking, vendor coordination, and onsite execution to ensure smooth delivery.

  • Manage RSVP and guest list communications, maintaining accurate records and providing a seamless guest experience.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors, negotiating contracts as needed.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to align event goals and messaging.

  • Monitor event budgets and track expenses to support cost-effective event delivery.

  • Troubleshoot onsite issues, ensuring excellent experiences for attendees and stakeholders.

  • Support larger organizational events and cross-functional projects as required.

  • Utilize event management software and digital tools to streamline planning, communication, and reporting.

  • Ensure all events are delivered with excellence in logistics, accessibility, guest experience, and post-event evaluation.

  • Assist with event risk assessment, health & safety compliance, and contingency planning.

  • Represent the organization at key events and act as an ambassador for its mission and values.

What you bring to the table:

  • You have 3 - 5 years of experience in event management, with a proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver successful events.

  • You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • You work independently and manage multiple moving pieces with dynamic priorities.

  • You take ownership of tasks, proactively provide updates, and address roadblocks as they arise.

  • You lead and coordinate confi dently with multiple vendors and stakeholders.

  • You communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, and practice clarity in all interactions.

  • You thrive in a digital team environment and communicate effectively across remote channels.

  • You’re familiar with project management tools and CRM systems, and you quickly adapt to new technology platforms.

  • You stay calm under pressure and are solutions-oriented when faced with challenges.

  • You bring creative energy and fresh thinking to each event, driving innovation while maintaining brand consistency and excellence.
